Love the theme, great job!
FYI, the ‘status’ module doesn’t work in this theme.
@Clay
Can you let me know more about the issue you’re having with the ‘status’ module? The status module is working perfectly for me. Cheers.
Hi Leon,
I agree,.. this is a great theme for AC, and really enjoy using AC with this theme !! But, we too are having trouble with the status module.. when using this theme. The status module icons (archive and rss icons) are not inline until you hover of them.. so, they are stacked to the right.. then you hover and they move inline.. so they ‘jitter’ back and forth.. that is the only bug I can see.. == great theme !! Thanks again and let me know if you find a solution to this..
Leon?! – Great Work *thumbsup* =)
I´m really sorry for the late reply, but you know…christmas time=)
But in the meantime I have upgraded the Access Theme and I´m absolutly satisfied.
Thanks as well for the credits – and that you credit me next time as well I´ve made an IPhone Version of Access
I send it over to you via Skype in the next few days – just shot me a notice
For the rest – have some nice holidays
Joe
Now you tell me, haha… I’m in the middle of an upgrade… oh well like you said there are new improvements that will be beneficial anyway. Looking forward to some of those new developments that have no release date too.
Thanks for your updates today, I look forward to using them.
@Nathan
No worries. Just so you know, Access dosen’t need the latest updates in activeCollab to work. Access should work fine with any aC version – but I agree you should download the updates to activeCollab as they usually have great improvements functionality wise.
Thanks Leon! (now I have to download the updates to activecollab in order to install the new access theme haha… )
Access 0.3 is now available for download.
@Rafi
Thank you for the offer
I’ll probably take you up on it – keep an eye out for an email from me over the next few days.
I could help. beta test or whatever.
@ Seb
Thanks for checking up on the status for Access 0.3
There’s still a bit of work left on it (and I should learn my lesson by not meeting release dates I previously mentioned) however Access 0.3 should be out before this time next week. *fingers crossed*
Leon,
What about 0.3 “just around the corner”? Any updates on this?
Thanks for your work!
Seb
@Nathan
What you’re asking is most likely a change to the markup/code in the template for the project dashboard page. I’d say yes it is most likely possible to do what you’re asking, but it can not be done with just the Access theme.
But personally I’d love to see aC go more in this direction – currently theme designers for aC can ONLY work with a CSS file… I would love to see more control given to theme designers so they could re-arrange markup on pages/views etc. (adding/editing/removing parts of the markup template for each section, and not just the CSS).
But I don’t think this is something that will happen any time soon. I think a lot of work would be required to reach this stage.
Thank you for your comments on the Access theme
I’m very happy to hear it is working well for you.
Leon,
Glad I could be of help with the browser info, I just thought of something today and I was wondering how possible it would be with Access — is there anyway to bring the filters for the projects to the dashboard — similar to how they are on the Projects page. I never seem to use the projects page and would think this being on the main homepage for the dashboard would be very useful. Any thoughts?
Thanks again for Access, ActiveCollab is just not the same without it. It seems ironic, but I switched back to the default theme the other day to check something and it reminded me how important the right theme is to a well developed app. Thanks again.
Nathan
We want 0.3 !! We want 0.3 !!
Love it.
Did you or are you incorporating a modified iPhone theme as well?
Hi Dan – I haven’t made an iPhone theme for Access… YET!
It’s something on the to-do list, but to be honest I don’t think an iPhone theme version of Access will be available until next year at the earliest. To my knowledge, activeCollab dosen’t support choosing themes for iPhone either – So if I made an iPhone version of the theme, it would be a complete replacement of the current iPhone theme.
Hello all!
Thanks for the continued feedback, Access theme has been getting a great response from users.
Although I’ve been a bit quite for the last month, I just want to let you know that Access is still being refined, developed and improved. Access 0.3 is just around the corner and will be compatible with aC 1.1.4, include various bug fixes and other design improvements. It’s about 2 weeks away from being released so stayed tuned!
@benoit Thanks
@ChrisS This is a great idea.. Let me know if you find a fix for IE6 compatibility.. Otherwise, I’m thinking of writing some specific IE6 only CSS to load some special GIF images where required.
@Nathan Sudds Thanks for reporting how Access displays in other browsers
thanks for the nice job done
Leon, as ActiveCollab already has jQuery built in, I might give http://jquery.andreaseberhard.de/pngFix/ a whirl to see if it fixes the transparency stuff for IE6.
Should be fairly simple to implement too
Hey Leon — just to confirm, I hadn’t tried Access in IE 7 but it’s true clients might use this so I gave it a shot, seems to work perfectly over here, just so you know. I’m on Windows XP with IE 7… for good measure I even tried Safari for Windows, looks and works great too. Thanks
@Brian
Access theme makes use of transparent PNG images and advanced CSS styles that are not supported by IE6. Access should however display without any real issues on IE7+. Can you send me more details of the issue and what browser version you are using and I’ll look into it. You can use the contact form on the ‘Contact Us’ page. Cheers.
This is awesome but in Internet Explorer not working properly
thanks
Access theme for me, makes ActiveCollab.
It’s the icing on a fantastic piece of software – thanks for your hard work Leon, I’m certainly enjoying it!
just talked with you @skype but still want to tell it to the community:
whoever tried it once to customize the Design of aC, knows what a competition that is. There are a few things which dont make it easy.
It´s a really nice piece of work what you´ve done with access, and really kindy to offer it for free to the community;-)
keep up the good work Leon – I´m waiting for more;-)

Joe
Thanks Leon for all your effort. I’m anxious to see Version 0.2.
@Andreas
Yes you are right – in Access 0.1 the login screen isn’t styled very well. This is a bit embarrassing for me, but when Access 0.1 was released my understanding of how the login screen worked was not correct.
The login screen has been fixed in Access 0.2, which is on schedule to be released tomorrow.
Great Theme for aC – thank you very much.
It seems that the Login-Screen is not themed correct right now.
Happy to hear you’re enjoying the theme. Yes, a small number of issues were identified and are in the process of being sorted out for Access 0.2 (due in a couple of days). Stay tuned!
Brilliant work, thanks for creating this — I agree with Michael, this is just what I had in mind as well and Jan too — because it does simplify AC making it visually easier to follow with the color coding, and better UI. I’ve already heard that improvements are on the way, that’s great news.
Hey, thanks for this template, we use it and enjoy it. It’s cool. Well done! This theme help me to understand AC.
Wow! This is awesome. Just what I had in mind for my theme.
Thanks for sharing this.
Awesome, awesome, superawesome!
Thanks for the comment Goran – glad you like it. Means a lot coming from you
