Top 10 Websites for March 2008

It’s with great pleasure to introduce our new monthly post on our favourite top 10 websites!

The internet is big, and we come across so many great websites everyday that we often forget all too quickly. If they’re bookmarked they can often become hidden in a our browsers bookmarks. So we thought we should post our favourite websites for each month to So this website will , and many for different reasons. Great design, layout, colour choice, This is a new section I’d like

So what criteria do we look for when deciding the monthly top 10 websites? The websites that attributes we look for are – good layout, good design, creativity, usability and usefulness – just to name a few.

    This web site takes the top spot as it is simply awesome, even though it’s technically a ‘game’. The design, style, sound, story and artwork have been beautifully executed leaving you with a fun and memorable experience.

  • MONOBLOCKMonoblock.tv website - March 2008

    Very funky. Love the use of space, colours and characters.

  • PlaygroupPlaygroup.com website - March 2008

    A blog site that uses a personal touch while keeping unity in the site theme. Love it.

  • iGoogleiGoogle.com website - March 2008

    Google has done a great job with iGoogle. Make iGoogle your default homepage and load all the things you want. iGoogle is dynamic while giving you full control, and it get’s the thumbs up from us.

  • AppleApple.com website - March 2008

    How could Apple’s website not be in the first Top 10 Websites post? Their site is an excellent example of simplicity with effective use of whitespace, strong type, good imagery and an accesible UI.

  • FacebookFacebook.com website - March 2008

    Myspace Vs. Facebook – And the winner is… Facebook! Let’s face it, Facebook wins because it looks professional – as opposed to Myspace where most layouts are ugly and inconsistant.

    Recently launch website SmartyPig is not only a great idea, but also has a well designed website, a very nice custom text logo, and a good user interface.

    Who would have thought a plumber’s website would make it into the top 10? But honestly, have you ever seen a plumber’s website as beautiful as this one? We love the concept, and it has been beautifully executed. Well done!

    Their new website design (launch in January 2008) ticks all the boxes. The rounded corners and pastal colour themes work well. White space has also been effectively used, with an overall refreshed site. Personally, I think the navigation could be improved slightly, otherwise great design.
