Logorama – A Short Film Made From Logo’s

It’s Friday and what better way to end the week than with a funny, outstanding, world-class short film animation titled Logorama, directed by French animation collective H5 (François Alaux, Hervé de Crécy & Ludovic Houplain)

Set in California, Logorama makes Logo’s come to life and features some spectacular car chases, an intense hostage crisis, wild animals rampaging through the city and even more! The short logo film has also had some success:

[Logorama] was presented at the Cannes Film Festival 2009. It opened the 2010 Sundance Film Festival and won a 2010 academy award under the category of animated short.

A full list of awards are available from their website.

Logorama = Pure Awesome

Logorama is a film I’d love to watch in slow motion, and then watch it again. There are so many clever characters and uses of different logo’s to create objects of all types. I especially like pausing the film to take a closer look at background events in scenes – at normal speed the background events are hard to spot.

I really hope H5 decide to produce “Logorama 2″. ;) Congratulations on creating such a beautiful motion graphic and the success its had (so far).
