Tweet Here at Creative World, the global sounds of triple j can often be heard blaring loud and long into the night. If you’re a triple j listener then you’re probably already in the loop, if not then this post is to help spread the word on a new event that will appeal to up and coming designers and artists! It’s called ‘The Great Wall of triple j‘ and came about after a recent rearrangement of furniture in their offices exposed a big blank wall. So in a nut shell, they’re reaching out to all Australian’s to see your creativity on how you would design for this space. The brief is simple:

• The design must reflect triple j culture. It is not necessary to include the triple j drum logo.
• The design must be no bigger than 3.5m wide x 2.5m high.
• Other than that it’s up to you.

The event is being organised by triple j and Semi Permanent. So what’s the prize? Well, if your concept is chosen you’ll get to meet world renowned artist Anthony Lister who has also been commissioned to do a wall at the triple j studio’s. You’ll receive a cheque for $2500, and your work will be featured on j tv and jmag (oh, and you’ll also have entry to the Semi Permanent event where you’ll be able to mix with other great designers). That sounds pretty good doesn’t it? Submissions open Friday 22 February and will close at 5pm on Friday 21 March. Submissions will be judged by the triple j and Semi Permanent crew only.
