Semi-Permanent 2008 Brisbane

Now I know this isn’t breaking news, however I thought it is was still worth a mention. The Semi-Permanent event is coming for the first time to Brisbane on 12 April 2008. It will be held at the Queensland Conservatorium / Griffith University (16 Russell Street, South Bank, Brisbane). Personally I believe Brisbane has an extrodinary base of creative people (and has had for some time), which is why I’m excited to see event’s such as Semi-Permanent join the party.
So, what is Semi-Permanent? To put it simply Semi-Permanent is a design event. It consists of a conference and side events which include exhibitions, competitions, workshops and parties. It’s a week long celebration of all things design. Graphic Design, Film, Art, Illustration, Web Design, Photography, Visual Effects, Animation, Graffiti, Motion Graphics, Stop Motion; all these things and more. Semi-Permanent explores the diverse and exciting design world bringing together exceptionally talented artists and designers to speak at the event.
General Earlybird tickets are $120 purchased on or before 14 March 2008, thereafter they will be $180. For students it will set you back $70. It looks to be a great day, and I have already purchased my ticket. Get your ticket to Semi-Permanent 2008. The Semi-Permanent 2008 event will also be held in Sydney (4th & 5th April 2008), Perth (8th April 2008) and Auckland (15th & 16th August 2008). Montage video from the Semi-Permanent 2007 Sydney:
