10 Reasons You Should Use WordPress

Recently at a Brisbane Web Design meetup I participated in an active discussion on CMS’s. It was a great night with people speaking for at least 5 different CMS’s! I was batting for WordPress which was no problem at all – I’m a huge fan!

I thought other people might enjoy knowing the benefits of using WordPress to run your website too, so I’ve posted the slideshow (above) I put together for the night.

Got another reason people should use WordPress?

Please let me know in the comments below :)

  • Well I don’t have any problem with wordpress as it is very nice blogging system but personally I can give you 10 * 10 reasons to not use wordpress… and some other can give 10 * 10 * 10 reasons to use it so its matter of personal choice :) I prefer custom works though…

  • I use wordpress myself and have always found it really easy and customisable to my needs. Thanks for the post.

  • I hated wordpress when i was first requested to do a site with it. I could see nothing but negative and hard to use ‘features.’

Now i am quite happy to be a convert – my main site has converted to WP and most people i design for dislike the name, but love it if they don’t know it is WP.

A big agency in my region slams Wordpress and Open Source all over the region – because they have invested heavily in a proprietary CMS with half the features and ridiculously long development time for simple plugins.

With WP usually a plugin is right there if needed – someone needed it months before i needed and has released it.

WordPress is my 1st choice now.
